Self-portrait and the nature.

Hi all!

I have not had much opportunity for photo adventuring with my SLR recently…but tomorrow I will!! Doing my first photoshoot with a good friend for her blog! So excited to get more practice in!! Especially since I got the nikkor 50mm f/1.8g lens to upgrade me! Yes yes, that is still very much of a beginner lens (and mind you, I’ve got the DX not FX version – that shall change with time too)…but its a step up for me! And you gotta start somewhere 🙂 Speaking of nikkor, I have always been a Nikon girl…Regardless of what Canon has on Nikon, I think they make some quality stuff for a great price! It will always have my heart 😀 Plus, as I mentioned in my previous post, its not really about the camera as much as it is about the photographer! Composition is such a key factor in my opinion 😉 I’ve produced some great stuff on very amateur skills and tools (at least I think its great :-P)! How about you, Nikon or Canon for life?!

Till my photoshoot update, I leave you with these two pics I snapped and edited on my iphone (what can I say, I’m a gal on the go haha); self-portrait (with the wind and sun element, edited to look more sepia with VSCO) and a snap I took on a hike the other night (edited to brighten and bring out the colors with deluxefx)!

xoxo

I just love how the lighting and wind all came together in this candid I took of myself. Yes, selfie status. Don't judge me.
